There is also an option to participate in several local and national regattas during the summer, however this is not required.
Para-Kayak Program - Non-member Program
Parakayak is an adaptive paddling program that offers on and off water activities to both youth and adults with a physical disability (mobility impairment, amputation, cerebral Palsy, CMT disease, etc). The goal of the program is to introduce the participant to the sport of sprint kayak at a recreational level, teaching them in a fun and safe environment. If interested and comfortable, there is opportunity to compete at regional, provincial and national level, please ask your instructor for more information.

!!!!!Exciting New Program for 2020 !!!!
Novice Racing Camp - Non-member Program
No prior canoe/kayak experience is required. The atmosphere of the camp will be supportive to beginners; however, participants should be willing to challenge themselves as they progress over the two week span and be enthusiastic to try out the competitive side of the sport. The Novice Camp runs independently for half of the two week term, and will combine with the Canoe Kids Summer Camp for the rest of the time to create a full day schedule. The Canoe Kids Camp is focused primarily on fun and recreation, and provides a complimentary balance to the competition focus of the Novice Racing component, to give a broader introduction to paddle sports over the two weeks.
