    • This program runs 3 times a week on the water with an expectation of off water training as well during the spring and summer.    Fall programming is once a week, and new paddlers are welcome..     Winter program runs once per week at the Welland International Flatwater Center.    This is a program for people who really want to race in dragon boats, and a very good fitness level is required.

Winter Training Camps

 This once a week program is designed to work on paddle technique, strength and fitness, getting paddlers ready for the on water season in the spring.  Please note that there will be no session on December 29th, January 26th or March 2nd.   

Includes 3 training camps with video review  9:30 a.m. Sunday  Jan 27,  Sunday March 3, Saturday   March 30  

Saturdays,  9:30-11:00 a.m.  Nov. 3 - December 22.2018

 &  January 5 - April 13/2019

Spring/Summer/Fall: (3x/wk-Spr-Sum, 1x/wk Fall) Tues & Thurs, 6:30-8:00pm, Sat 10:00-11:30am (May  2 - Sept. 8)*, Fall Sat (Sept. 16- Oct. 15)                                                                                                                                                           Fee:  $305.00 + HST


Member Programs  

SNCC is a club and to participate in any of our member programs you must have an annual membership.  The annual membership fee for the 2018 season is $95.00.  This is to be paid once per year and allows the member to register and partake in our different member programs and allows each member voting privileges at the club annual general meeting.  We prorate membership fees for new members only.

    Winter Session for Recreational Dragon Boat is focused on fitness, stroke development and techniques, and fun.    Please register here for either Canal Dragons Mixed Dragon Boat Crew or Hope Floats Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Crew.  

    90 minute sessions include 45 minutes in the tank and 45 minutes in the gym

    This is an excellent program to build on your strength, fitness  and technique through the winter to prepare for the on-water season.     

    Beginners will get a jump on learning a new sport during off season, as well as increase strength and fitness.   

    We have attempted to work out a price  that fits into everyone's schedule,   We at South Niagara Canoe Club are dedicated to making our recreational programs available to everyone.    If you have special circumstances that make it impossible for you to fit into any of our packages, please contact the Vice Commodore Dragon Boat at vicecommodoredb@southniagaracanoeclub.ca and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    We offer one free Drop In for non-members, after which Drop In fees are  $20.00 including hst for non-members, $15.00 including hst for members that do not purchase a package, $10.00 including hst for members that bought a package and want to come for another after it runs out, please pay drop in fees when you attend, and email us at the above address to let us know you are coming.
