high performance program Details

SNCC’s High Performance program is coached by Olympian KC Fraser.

Register by selecting your session below: 

High Performance is for experienced paddlers who are interested in competition and reaching their full potential. Participants will be competing at the local and provincial levels, as well as National and perhaps International events. Athletes will be instructed according to Train to Perform standards of the Sport Canada’s Sport For Life pathway.  This program has 8-10 sessions a week of training, focused on on-water and off-water workouts. Competitive preparation will focus on singles and crew boats and will encompass goal setting and specific race strategy.


Requirements:

  • be at least age 14 as of January 1st or with permission from the coach

  • have experience in sprint canoe/kayak and taken at least one program at SNCC or another CKC affiliate

    Pricing: 

    • Spring Session:  May 1 - June 30  $445+HST
    • Summer Session:  July 2 - August 31 $390 +HST
    • Autumn: September 13 - November 6 $475 +HST
    • Winter: TBD


    Program Schedule: No practices on Holidays

    Practice times may vary depending on competition schedule and weather.


    Spring Session:  May 1 -  June 30

    • Monday-Friday 4:00 - 6:00pm
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 - 7:30am
    • Saturday 8:00 - 10:00am 


    Summer Session: July 2 -  August 31

    • Monday-Friday 4:00 - 6:00pm
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 - 7:30am
    • Saturday 8:00 - 10:00am

    Autumn Session: September 13 -  November 6

    • Monday-Friday 4:00 - 6:00pm
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 - 7:30am
    • Saturday 8:00 - 11:00am

    Winter Session 2021/2022: November 8 -  April 30 

    Please note: SNCC reserves the right to delay or end programming early due to weather, and/or water conditions, and enrollment.
