Registration

Developmental – $115.00
Developmental second family member – $103.50
Family discounts are provided for multiple registrants from one family. Second children receive a 10% discount, while all subsequent children receive a 25% discount (discount to be applied to the program of equal or lesser value)

*if you register for the discounted amount against the higher valued program, SNCC will automatically correct the invoice.
Developmental third or more family member – $86.25

Developmental Program

* SNCC’s Developmental canoe/kayak program is based on the “Learn to train” stage from the fundamental and foundation stages of Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development pathway. This program focuses specifically on:

o Basic movements in sprint canoe and kayak

o Singles

o Team boats

o Introductory principles of sport training as well as healthy approaches to sport

* This program is taught by our experienced instructors in a safe and fun environment. At the conclusion of the term, the paddler will be familiar with the joy of an active lifestyle and a heightened capability to enjoy the beautiful Welland Recreational Waterway.

* Paddlers will have a chance to compete locally if interested (not required)

Program Schedule

* Spring Session, May 20-June 26 Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30 pm-6:30 pm

Requirements

* Paddlers must be between 10-15 years of age

* One week of Canoe Kids Summer Camp is recommended as prior experience (not mandatory)

Price

* Spring Session, May 20-June 26 $115 +HST

* Summer Session, July 2-Aug 28 $115 +HST

* Racing fees additional (not mandatory to participate in races)
